Fresh dill can be introduced around 6 months. Its mild, slightly sweet flavor pairs well with many baby foods.

How to serve at this age

6-9 months: Add finely minced fresh dill to fish, potato, or yogurt-based dishes. 9-12 months: Mix into egg dishes or vegetable preparations. 12-24 months: Use in salads, dips, and with fish.

Nutrition

A note from the editors

Add dill at the end of cooking to preserve its delicate flavor. Fresh dill can be frozen for later use.

Good to know
