Dragon Fruit

Dragon fruit can be introduced around 6 months. Its mild, sweet flavor and soft texture are suitable for babies.

How to serve at this age

6-9 months: Scoop out flesh and mash or offer pieces. 9-12 months: Serve soft cubes as finger food. 12-24 months: Offer slices or cubes.

Nutrition

Good source of vitamin C and fiber. Contains antioxidants and prebiotics. High water content for hydration.

A note from the editors

Choose dragon fruit that gives slightly when pressed. The seeds may appear in baby's diaper - this is normal.

Good to know

The small black seeds are edible and safe. The flesh is soft and not typically a choking hazard.
