Dragon Fruit
Dragon fruit can be introduced around 6 months. Its mild, sweet flavor and soft texture are suitable for babies.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Scoop out flesh and mash or offer pieces. 9-12 months: Serve soft cubes as finger food. 12-24 months: Offer slices or cubes.
Nutrition
Good source of vitamin C and fiber. Contains antioxidants and prebiotics. High water content for hydration.
A note from the editors
Choose dragon fruit that gives slightly when pressed. The seeds may appear in baby's diaper - this is normal.
Good to know
The small black seeds are edible and safe. The flesh is soft and not typically a choking hazard.
