Oregano

Oregano can be introduced around 6 months. This Mediterranean herb has a warm, slightly bitter flavor popular in Italian and Greek cooking.

How to serve at this age

6-9 months: Add a tiny pinch to tomato-based purees or vegetable dishes. 9-12 months: Use in pasta sauces and meat preparations. 12-24 months: Include in pizza toppings, pasta, and Mediterranean dishes.

Nutrition

Rich in antioxidants. Good source of vitamin K, iron, and manganese. Has antibacterial properties.

Dried oregano releases more flavor when rubbed between your palms before adding to dishes.
