Parsley
Fresh parsley can be introduced around 6 months. It's a mild herb that adds nutrition and color to baby food.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Add finely minced parsley to vegetable purees or soups. 9-12 months: Mix into egg dishes, pasta, or grain bowls. 12-24 months: Use as garnish on various dishes.
Nutrition
Excellent source of vitamins K, C, and A. Contains iron and folate. Has antioxidant properties.
A note from the editors
Store fresh parsley with stems in water in the fridge. Both leaves and stems are nutritious.
Good to know
Use flat-leaf parsley for better flavor. Chop very finely for younger babies. Very unlikely to cause allergies.
