Porridge
Porridge can be introduced around 6 months and is often one of baby's first foods. It can be made from various grains like oats, rice, or millet.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Start with thin, smooth porridge. Gradually thicken as baby adjusts. 9-12 months: Add mashed fruits or vegetables to porridge. 12-24 months: Serve with various toppings like fruit, nut butters, or seeds.
Nutrition
Good source of carbohydrates for energy, fiber for digestion, and B vitamins. Can be enriched with iron from infant cereals.
