Portobello
Portobello mushrooms can be introduced around 6 months when cooked until tender. They have a meaty texture.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Saute until tender and finely chop or puree. 9-12 months: Offer soft cooked pieces. 12-24 months: Include in various dishes.
Nutrition
Good source of B vitamins, potassium, and selenium. Contains vitamin D if sun-exposed. Low in calories.
A note from the editors
Remove stems and scrape gills for milder flavor. Portobellos are mature cremini mushrooms.

Always cook mushrooms. The gills can be scraped out if desired. Cut into appropriate sizes for age.
