Red Lentil

Red lentils can be introduced to babies around 6-8 months old. They are ideal as a first solid food due to their soft texture and quick cooking time. Lentils are generally safe, but watch for any allergic reactions as they are legumes.

How to serve at this age

Can be served as a puree or mixed with baby-friendly vegetables as soup.
