Shrimp
Shrimp can be introduced around 6 months. It's a lean protein source but a common allergen.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Puree or mince cooked shrimp finely. 9-12 months: Offer small pieces. 12-24 months: Serve in various dishes.
Nutrition
Excellent source of protein, selenium, and B12. Contains omega-3s and iodine. Low in calories.
A note from the editors
Don't overcook shrimp - they become rubbery. They're done when pink and opaque.

Shellfish is a common allergen - introduce carefully. Always cook thoroughly. Remove shells and devein.
