Sun Dried Apricot
Sun-dried apricots can be introduced around 6 months when rehydrated and pureed, or as finger food when soft enough after 9 months.
How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Soak until soft and puree, or chop very finely. 9-12 months: Offer small, soft pieces of rehydrated apricots. 12-24 months: Serve chopped or sliced as snacks.
Nutrition
Excellent source of iron, potassium, and vitamin A. High in fiber. Contains antioxidants.
A note from the editors
Choose unsulfured dried apricots (brown color) to avoid sulfites. Soak for at least 15 minutes in warm water.
Good to know
Dried fruit is a choking hazard - rehydrate by soaking in warm water. High in natural sugars - serve in moderation.
