Raisins

Raisins can be introduced around 9-12 months when properly prepared. They're sticky and can be a choking hazard.

How to serve at this age

9-12 months: Chop finely or soak in water to soften, then chop. 12-24 months: Offer chopped raisins in foods.

Nutrition

Good source of iron, potassium, and fiber. Contains natural sugars for energy. High in antioxidants.

A note from the editors

Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes to plump and soften. Mix into oatmeal or baked goods.
