Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels, fresh or frozen (about 150g)
  • 3–4 tablespoons cooking water

Method

  1. 01

If using fresh corn, husk the cob and rinse well. If using frozen corn kernels, thaw completely.

  2. 02

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the corn and cook for 8–10 minutes until kernels are tender.

  3. 03

Drain and let cool slightly. If using a fresh cob, carefully cut the kernels off the cob with a sharp knife.

  4. 04

Transfer the corn kernels to a blender with 3–4 tablespoons of the cooking water.

  5. 05

Blend until as smooth as possible, then press through a fine mesh sieve to remove the outer hull skins for a silky, safe texture for young babies.
