Ingredients

  • 1 medium carrot (grated)
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Method

    Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a mini muffin tin with olive oil.

    Finely grate carrot. In a bowl, mash banana until smooth.

  3. 03

    Mix grated carrot, mashed banana, egg, oats, and cinnamon together until well combined.

    Spoon mixture into mini muffin cups, filling three-quarters full.

    Bake 15–18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and tops are golden. Cool completely before serving.

How to offer

Place one or two bites on the high chair tray. Always supervise during feeding. At 9 months, the egg and banana bind these perfectly. Break in half to check they are cooked through. These naturally sweet bites make an excellent BLW treat without added sugar.

Storage

Refrigerate in an airtight container up to 4 days. Freeze individually for up to 1 month. Thaw at room temperature.
