Ingredients

  • 2 medium white potatoes (about 300g)
  • 3–4 tablespoons warm breast milk, formula, or cooking water

Method

  1. 01

Peel the potatoes and cut into evenly sized cubes, about 1 inch, so they cook uniformly.

  2. 02

Place the cubes in a pot of cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes until completely tender.

  3. 03

Drain well and return to the hot pot. Leave over low heat for 1–2 minutes to steam off excess moisture.

  4. 04

Mash thoroughly with a potato masher until no lumps remain.

  5. 05

Add 3–4 tablespoons of warm breast milk, formula, or cooking water and mix until smooth and creamy.
