Blueberry Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small loaf pan (8x4 inch) and line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mash 3 very ripe bananas until smooth. Add 2 eggs, 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.

Add 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Stir gently until just combined — do not overmix.

Gently fold in 3/4 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries, then pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 38–42 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Cut into thick slices then into age-appropriate strips or cubes. The dense, moist texture is perfect for 9-month-olds to hold and self-feed. Great for BLW and traditional feeding alike.
Storage
Wrap slices in parchment and refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze individual slices for up to 2 months.
