Ingredients

  • 4–5 ripe fresh figs, stems removed
  • 2 tbsp water

Method

    Choose 4–5 very ripe fresh figs — they should be soft to the touch and slightly wrinkled.

    Remove the tough stem ends and cut the figs into quarters.

  3. 03

    Place the fig pieces in a small saucepan with 2 tablespoons of water.

  4. 04

    Cook over medium-low heat for 4–5 minutes until completely soft, stirring occasionally.

  5. 05

    Transfer to a blender, blend until smooth, and cool completely before serving.

How to offer

Serve on a soft spoon or mix with oatmeal. Figs are naturally sweet and high in fiber, which supports healthy digestion.

Storage
