Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat plain yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp rolled oats (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. 01

Line a baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper.

  2. 02

Spread 1 cup of full-fat plain yogurt evenly onto the parchment paper to about 1/4 inch thickness.

  3. 03

Wash and slice 1 cup of fresh strawberries into small thin pieces and arrange them evenly over the yogurt layer.

  4. 04

Sprinkle with a few rolled oats for added texture and nutrition if desired.

  5. 05

Place in the freezer for at least 3–4 hours until completely frozen solid. Once frozen, break or cut into small bite-sized pieces and serve immediately — this is a frozen treat, so store pieces in a freezer bag until ready to serve.

How to offer

Offer small pieces directly from the freezer on a hot day. The cold bark is soothing for teething babies. Supervise closely as pieces soften quickly and can become sticky.

Storage

Store broken pieces in a freezer-safe bag for up to 1 month. Serve directly from the freezer — it melts quickly.
