Easy
  • Nut-free
  • Fiber-rich

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ripe pear (peeled, cored)
  • 40g brie cheese (rind removed)

Method

  1. 01

Choose a very ripe, soft pear. Peel and core it completely.

  2. 02

Cut pear into thin, flat slices or small cubes (about 1 cm).

  3. 03

Remove rind from brie cheese. Cut brie into small thin pieces matching the pear size.

  4. 04

Place a piece of brie on top of each pear slice or pair them on a plate.

  5. 05

Serve at room temperature — brie is softer and easier to eat when not cold from the fridge.

How to offer

Place pear and brie pieces on the high chair tray. Always supervise during feeding. Soft cheeses like brie are recommended from 12 months. Pear must be very ripe and soft — firm pear can be a choking risk. No skewers. The sweet-savoury combo is great for palette development.

Storage

Best served fresh. Components stored separately in fridge — pear 2 days, brie in original packaging up to use-by date.
