How to serve at this age
6-9 months: Offer peeled, seeded tomato pieces or cooked tomato. 9-12 months: Serve soft tomato pieces. 12-24 months: Include in various dishes.
Nutrition
Excellent source of vitamins A and C. Contains lycopene, potassium, and antioxidants. Low in calories.
A note from the editors
Cooking tomatoes increases lycopene availability. Cherry tomatoes should be quartered to prevent choking.

Acidic - may cause diaper rash or mouth irritation. Remove seeds and skin for younger babies. Watch for reactions.
